Thermo-Stone was established in 1987 in Central California. In 2012 Thermo-Stone moved to it’s current location in Reno, NV.
Thermo-Stone utilizes Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) technology to apply a resistive thin film onto a surface of an insulative substrate. Thermo-Stone's advanced film deposition system is the only technology on the market that allows designers to spread the heat source across the entire heater surface. The entire surface becomes the "active" heat source which more effectively transfers energy, minimizes hot and cold spots, provides better temperature uniformity, creates a low mass responsive heater, lowers demand loads and saves energy. Heaters manufactured by Thermo-Stone, deliver the required power at lower temperatures reducing design complexity and saving space and energy.
Thermo-Stone’s thin film can be deposited on ceramic, glass/ceramic, porous ceramic, quartz, glass, BeO, porcelainized metal, and 400 stainless steel, and can be applied to flat surface as well as tubes.
The heaters are stable at continuous operating temperatures up to 500° C or more. With watt density of up to 1,000 watts per square inch.
